The Four of Swords

The Four of Swords represents an end to conflict within your life, the restoration of harmony or the relaxation of tensions.

This card does not mean death, but it has a strange connection to cemeteries and tombs and in some cases, seems to foretell an event connected with these.

The Four of Swords or the Lord of Truce card represents a time when we are able to take rest and stop worrying after a critical and difficult phase of our life. This phase may relate to a traumatic situation like the breakdown of a loved and cherished relationship, a financial crisis, a serious illness involving some kind of major operation and so on.

Such situations often generate confusion and stress. If you happen to select this card, you may breathe a sigh of relief as it indicates a time when you can take a stock of your situation and gather your strength so that you can decide your next move to improve it.

It must, however, be noted that it is a Truce—a respite-- and not a peace card. So if you fail to act for your next move, the effect of this card may pass away.
