Tarot Reading: A Tool In Dealing With Life

Do you have problems with relationship, with work, or even simple day to day living? Tarot reading can aid you in dealing with the nooks and snoots of life.

Tarot reading involves an in-depth analysis of the meanings and symbolisms on the personal level of the one involved. Although, sometimes the analysis might seem illogical and would have no bearing on the person.

But before everything else, let us try to see the history of tarot reading.

The history of tarot cards occurred in Italy in the 14th century when a certain “Tarocco” was used for games.  Artist Bembo designed the first known deck of tarot cards for the Milan family of VIcsconzi-Srofza. One of the Tarot experts by the name of Gertrude Moakley, the triomfi, or parade that accompanied Italian celebrations represents the various characters illustrated in the major arcane.

Originally, the tarot cards had a 78- cards deck which was divided into 4 suits of 14 cards and 22 un-numbered trumps.  A lot of changes have been introduced like numbering from 1 to 21 of the trumps. Minor Arcana is the popular name of the four suits while Major Arcana is popular with the trump cards.

Anything that has to do with fortune-telling and having spiritual divination is commonly known for Tarot deck.

At first, it was mainly played for games.  However, occultists in later years used them for divination.  Court de Belen who was a member of a secret society of occultists became obsessed with the cards.  He authored Le Monde Primif where he talked about the symbolisms of the tarot.  A few centuries later, the Tarot was connected with Hebrew mysticism called the Kabbalah by the famed mystic Eliphas Levi Zahed. He perceived the Tarot as a way to determine the path of life, a way to improve one’s current stature in life, and a way to achieve human perfection as a way to reach the home of the Gods. In the late 1800s, the modern Tarot cards was influenced by the Hermetic Order of the golden dawn who was founded by three men who found an old secret manuscript that has to be deciphered.

It is very interesting to note that the development of tarot reading has been passed for centuries with different kinds of people.  However, it is important to say that these developers all had a significant purpose---to use tarot reading as a tool in determining a course of action that would best benefit each person’s individual path. Each card serves as a blueprint of what we think, what we do, what we feel, and what we are.

Now the question that may probably arise with you is how these tarot cards work. To answer that question let us try to determine the categories of the tarot.

The tarot is divided in to three divisions which are the Major Arcana, Minor Arcana and Court Arcana. The Major Arcana symbolizes major life issues whereas; the Minor Arcana and Court Arcana pertain to simpler everyday aspects. The most powerful are the 22 Major Arcana l and is supreme and superlative in all other cards in both their impact and effect.

Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles categorize the 40 Minor Arcana cards. The Wands represent our ambitions and ideas, while Cups represent our emotions and desires. Swords represent our actions and struggles, while the Pentacles represent prosperity of a person.

The King, Queen, Knight, and Page represent the Court Arcana consisting of 16 cards which are utilized as the Significator Card.  These sometimes are used to determine the personality of a person based on their zodiac signs. In addition to that, they serve to predict the future
