How does a Psychic Astrologer Work?

The ancient art of astrology is composed of a wide collection of belief systems, which asserts that there is a connection, or a relationship, between events in the human world and astrological phenomena or occurrences.  In the Western world, astrology is interpreted as a system of “horoscopes” which claim to predict the different aspects of a person's personality or life history, and it is often based on the positions of the sun, moon and other planetary objects during the time of the individual's birth.  Astrology bears utmost importance to different cultures, from the Chinese and the Mayans, to the Indians and even the Europeans.  Here's a brief overview of astrology, so that you'll have a better idea when looking for a psychic astrologer.

When Did The Concept Of Astrology Begin?

The early roots of astrology were noted to have begun in the third Millennium, when the early Asian and European peoples used calendar systems to track, as well as predict  and interpret celestial cycles, or the cycles of the planetary systems. Through the years, astrology was often considered a scholarly tradition, and its ideas and concepts were generally accepted in political and academic circles. At the onset of the 17th century however, the entry of new scientific doctrines and concept began to challenge the principles of astrology.  And although astrology lost its once esteemed standing in the academic and political circles ,it experienced a renaissance in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Basic Precepts of Astrology

Astrology, according to psychic experts, is merely the documentation and study of the vibratory connection between different aspects of the universe -the stars and planets on the sky – and its effect on the overall existence on Earth.  The movement and alignment of the celestial bodies is believed to have an effect on the life of humans, animals, plants and even rocks. The word astrology is derived from the Latin word “astrologia”, which means “the account of the stars”.  The word “star” however, is also a term that refers to planets or other luminous celestial bodies or objects.  Astrology's seven classical planets comprise the Moon and sun, along with the other planets in the solar system that are quite visible to the human eye – Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and Uranus.  Astrology also refers to Pluto as an astrological planet or celestial body.

While the science and philosophy of psychic astrology lost its luster in the 17th century, it gained a major boost of confidence in the 19th and 20th centuries, as a healthy revival of New Age concepts and principles was developed and nurtured, and a massive revival of spiritualism was also seen.  Mass media also played a major role in the rise of astrology, as most newspapers published horoscope sections on their daily issues, and thousands of free and paid horoscope services also blossomed on the Internet.  And despite the entry of new scientific discoveries and principles, the core ideas of astrology remain strong.

Astrology strongly views that the individual, the earth, and its environment, are viewed as a single entity or organism, and all parts are correlated to each other.  A natal horoscope for instance, shows a stylized map of the universe during the tine of a person's birth, with the individual at the center, and the Sun, Moon, and other planetary systems or objects have a significant meaning, which is uniquely applicable to the individual's life.
